Scalp Micro-pigmentation {SMP or hair tattoo} is the process of implanting tiny dots of pigment into the scalp to give the appearance of hair follicles. It makes the appearance of the scalp less obvious through the hair and makes the hair appear to be thicker and denser.

The same techniques can be used to camouflage scars on the scalp too. For example, cuts on the head or beard and moustache which leave gaps in the hair. Small areas of white scalp can be micro pigmented so that they blend into the hair and are no longer as obvious. Hair transplant techniques may leave a little row of white scars across the back of the head. These can be camouflaged to blend into the natural hair colour using Micropigmentation.

How long will it take?
Each appointment will take around 1 hour. But you will need multiple appointments, especially for larger areas.
What happens during the consultation?
During your consultation I will assess your hair-growth needs and blend a variety of shades to guarantee consistent replication of your natural hair colourings. This just makes sure that the correct effect and colours are chosen for you, and that the finished result is exactly what you want.
What will happen during treatment?
We skillfully implant a series of micro-points of pigment into the skin which produce the look of short hairs. Then, we’ll carefully match the follicular hair size and the density of the natural hair growth.
Will it hurt?
Clients typically describe the discomfort as low as 3 out of 10.
Is there downtime?
No. The area around your treatment may be slightly red, but that should be the only after-effect.
Do you provide aftercare?
Yes! Aftercare products are included with your treatment.
